YEARS Berlin review: cost, what you get and follow-up
YEARS is a physician-led preventive clinic in Berlin with three unusually clear public price tiers. Core costs €1,900 for a six-hour assessment, Evolve costs €7,600 and adds whole-body MRI and other tests, while the top tier costs €16,900. Those are materially different products, so the decision starts with which test can change your care rather than simply buying the longest list.
What we checked
Price, program scope, clinician time and follow-up.
We checked the provider’s current program pages and, where available, independent or regulatory sources listed below. We then separated standard inclusions from optional costs and open questions. Every source carries the date we reviewed it.
The short answer
Is YEARS Berlin worth considering?
Public price
YEARS is one of the easier European clinics to evaluate because the program prices and major inclusions are public. Core is the sensible reference point for a conventional physician-led baseline. Evolve and the top tier add expensive imaging and newer tests that need a clearer plan for incidental findings, outside referrals and repeat testing.

Top tier
€16,900 · expanded testing and three check-ins across the year

Best fit
A European buyer who wants a one-day physician-led baseline with a public price.
Someone comparing a conventional checkup with an imaging-heavy tier in the same clinic.
A patient able to return to Berlin or coordinate follow-up with a local doctor.
Ask before booking
How much physician time is included in each tier?
Which follow-up investigations after an abnormal MRI are included?
What clinical action is attached to each genomic or biological-age result?
Can results and images be exported to a doctor outside Germany?
Choose something else if
You want primary care rather than a periodic assessment.
You are buying the most expensive tier mainly for a larger biomarker count.
You do not have a plan for referrals after an MRI or multi-cancer blood-test finding.
The three YEARS programs are not interchangeable
Core is a six-hour physician-led checkup with laboratory testing, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, lung function, skin screening and ultrasound. Evolve adds whole-body MRI, a multi-cancer blood test, biobanking and one check-in. The €16,900 tier adds genomic, epigenetic and microbiome testing plus three check-ins. Comparing the three only by biomarker count hides the much bigger difference: imaging, experimental-adjacent measures and the amount of follow-up.
YEARS Berlin cost
YEARS publishes €1,900 for Core, €7,600 for Evolve and €16,900 for its highest tier. It says privately insured patients may be able to seek reimbursement, but that is not a promise of coverage. Ask for a written list of outside imaging reads, specialist referrals, repeat blood work and any treatment that is not included in the quoted fee.
Doctor review and follow-up
YEARS says results are discussed within about a week and sometimes the same day. Evolve lists one later check-in and the highest tier lists three. Core is generally positioned as an annual assessment. Ask how long the physician meeting lasts and who remains available if a result becomes clinically important between scheduled visits.
The MRI and multi-cancer testing caveat
Whole-body MRI may detect important abnormalities, but it can also create incidental findings and downstream tests. Multi-cancer detection blood tests remain an evolving screening category and do not replace established screening. Before choosing Evolve or the highest tier, ask what a positive, negative or uncertain result changes in practice.
YEARS vs Function Health and Neko Health
Function is a lower-cost laboratory membership without an included one-to-one physician appointment. Neko is a shorter sensor, skin and blood assessment at a much lower price. YEARS provides a more conventional physician-led checkup, while its higher tiers move into premium imaging. Match the service to the decision you need to make, not to the size of the test list.
