MAYRLIFE Altaussee review: cost, what you get and follow-up

MAYRLIFE Altaussee is an Austrian residential medical retreat built around the Modern Mayr approach, personalised diet and a broad menu of diagnostics and therapies. Its live program page lists Classic from €2,950 for seven nights, while its March 2026 price list starts single-occupancy rooms at €485 per night. That makes the simple starting arithmetic €6,345 before local tax, travel and extra treatments. MAYRLIFE says guests see a doctor five times a week, an unusually useful disclosure that still needs a written schedule.

What we checked

Price, program scope, clinician time and follow-up.

We checked the provider’s current program pages and, where available, independent or regulatory sources listed below. We then separated standard inclusions from optional costs and open questions. Every source carries the date we reviewed it.

The short answer

Is MAYRLIFE Altaussee worth considering?

Live program price plus March 2026 room price; official sources differ slightly

MAYRLIFE offers more visible pricing and more frequent stated doctor contact than many luxury health retreats. It makes sense for a medically suitable guest who wants a supervised dietary stay and enough time to work on daily habits. The program fee is not the stay total, and the treatment menu mixes conventional testing and counselling with services such as ozone, colon hydrotherapy and bio-frequency medicine. Each optional intervention needs its own evidence, safety and cost check.

Best fit

  • A guest who wants a seven-to-fourteen-night residential program with frequent stated doctor contact.
  • Someone willing to follow a restricted personalised diet and translate it into a practical plan at home.
  • A buyer who will separate the core program, room and optional treatment budgets before booking.

Ask before booking

  • What is my complete total for the exact program, room, tax and expected optional treatments?
  • What are the length and purpose of the five weekly doctor contacts?
  • Which laboratory tests, imaging and therapies are included before any additions are prescribed?
  • How will my medication and nutritional risks be managed during the diet?
  • Is a medical results review or follow-up appointment included after I return home?

Choose something else if

  • You want a short conventional medical check-up rather than a residential dietary program.
  • Your medication, nutritional needs or eating history makes a restrictive diet unsuitable.
  • You would treat every prescribed infusion, ozone or bio-frequency service as automatically necessary.

What MAYRLIFE actually sells

Every residential stay requires a medical program. Classic is the base seven-night option; longer or more specialised programs cover weight, stress, inflammation and healthy aging. The process begins with examination and testing, followed by an individual therapy and nutrition plan. Room rates include the prescribed meals, water and tea, group activities, wellness facilities, fitness room and lake access, while the medical program and optional therapies remain distinct parts of the bill.

MAYRLIFE cost and the real minimum

The live program page lists Classic from €2,950 and Healthy Aging from €5,220. The March 2026 PDF instead lists €2,975 and €5,090, and starts single-occupancy rooms at €485 a night. Using the live Classic price and dated room list gives €6,345 before the €3.50 daily local tax and extras. Because two official sources conflict, request a dated quote naming the exact program version and room category.

Doctor time and follow-up

The clinic FAQ says guests see a doctor five times per week. That is stronger than a generic promise of medical supervision, although it does not state the duration or purpose of every encounter. The public price list separately prices a 30-minute medical consultation at €230, a 15-minute results review at €115 and online medical counselling at €230. Ask which visits and any post-stay consultation are already included in your program.

Optional treatments deserve separate scrutiny

The menu includes standard laboratory testing, ECG and ultrasound alongside vitamin infusions, ozone therapies, colon hydrotherapy and bio-frequency services. A doctor recommending an item does not make all items equally supported for every goal. Request the clinical indication, expected benefit, adverse effects, regulatory status, alternatives and itemised price. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health notes limited evidence and potential harms for commercial detox and cleansing approaches.

MAYRLIFE vs VIVAMAYR and Chenot

MAYRLIFE and VIVAMAYR both use the Modern Mayr framework and publish separate program and room prices. MAYRLIFE states five doctor contacts per week and offers more named program variants. VIVAMAYR has a simpler PURE base with priced modules. Chenot uses its own method, a more explicitly packaged treatment schedule and an 850 kcal core diet. Compare the written appointment calendar, minimum all-in bill and what happens after discharge.
